Kent Bergsma does it again ! Mind you, I really appreciate the guy's videos. He is knowledgeable, precise and is able to produce most useful videos. He gets my tick of approval. Regards Styria

N.B. I can relate to his remarks concerning the use of silicone. First of all, it does promote rust but more importantly, future removal of any components coated with that stuff is almost impossible. In the case of the taillights I can remember quite clearly that I actually had to chisel out the lens parts of the lights.

Very interesting Styria . I have one tail light lens that I am not quiet happy with as it has minor staring. I have a set of new seals bought for my old car . I guess I could give the job to you when car is being painted.:D

I haven't watched the video yet. What does he use instead of silicon? I recently removed a headlight stuck fast with silicon and it was a bit of a nightmare!!!:eek::confused:

I haven't looked that hard yet but seeing as I bought a new set of tail light seals from MbSpares I though I would just use them when car is being painted. The same ones I gave you part number to Mark. :)

The design and quality (softness and thickness) are such that one may dispense with using a sealant. However, a windscreen sealant, which remains soft, can be used just to reassure yourself of a watertight seal. Regards. Styria

N.B. Motec 6.9, I hope that you can see your way clear to have Michel carry out any bodywork - just ensure that you don't get involved in a colour change, say to Flaming Red or some such shade. :D

Hi Styria as I have stated unlike my old car I have a plan and are sticking to it I want it to be like the Milan Brown AMG car I have posted picture of. I am keeping Becker in car I will get it modified to be able to use iPod and fit amplifier . Like Becker offer in the US have emailed Soundlabs in Australia they can check over my Becker and upgrade . Then I can put new speakers in the dash and rear parcel shelf using factory grills. Car is to remain Milan Brown I have decided I like the colour .

Reposted here on behalf of Motec:

Hi Mark you asked about seal availability the answer is yes.Prices i was given are tail lght seals $112 each,Headlight to body seal $122 each,Headlight lens seal $45 each. Now as i said Steering damper was $48, Intake gaskets to fit my throttle body were $29 each, Front window seal $110,Rear window $165, Boot rubber $231, All 4door seals $1100. Every one of these prices beat the US price.

So give MB Spares a call....
