Researching a new small Car for a Granddaughter it struck me that the lower cost models are now offering a 5 year warranty with the proviso that the car goes back to the Dealership every six months. Un necessary of course. Boosting Dealership profits to keep the manufacturers Sales out lets afloat. Thin margins on Sales on sub $20,000 Cars. Though the car does not have to go to a dealership for maintenance Service. The Law says that as long as the service is done by a Licenced Mechanic , the Manufacturer must honour the Warranty.
