Unfortunately, I was unable to make it - again! However, I really appreciate your efforts in utilizing your Classic Jalopy blog to post the photos you have provided us with. From a personal point of view, I much prefer this type of event as compared to say a one make Concours d'Elegance. It really gives one the opportunity to see a great variety of cars that, in many ways, have long since been forgotten or, alternatively cars that may only ever be displayed once a year or perhaps never ever. So thank you as it always stirs memories and desires of owning "that exotic" but that would never come to fruition.
I was totally surprised to spot a Toyota Century that are fitted with a five litre twelve cylinder engine. I did notice that this particular car did not have the Rear Vision mirrors that are normally fitted to each front guard. Some may consider that arrangement somewhat peculiar, but that arrangement is a form of signature feature to those cars.
Of particular interest was a Citroen C5/C6 (not sure which) which I have always admired for the beautiful interiors and, to a great extent, also the exterior is quite appealing. What a pity that French cars don't make in this country. Good bye now to Peugeot and Citroen that are no longer being imported to Australia. Bryce, I am also a fan of the DS models. I well remember being a passenger many, many years ago and I could only marvel at the quality of the soft suspension. I also have driven a DS23 with the five speed box and a wonderfully torquey 2.3 litre engine. Anyway, thank you again. Regards Styria
