Yeah the whole 20 inch wheel thing escapes me, then again steering geometry basics probably escape them.

Michel and I have witnessed the speed and acceleration capabilities of this engine when installed in a Nissan that used to be owned by Mercules. He reckoned at about 160k's he had another gear to go, but by this time and at that speed I decided that caution was the preferable part of valour. Certainly a very fast conveyance. We attained those speeds on the Hume Highway back from a Topklasse outing. Talk about responsibility and safety !

A bloke i know in Sydney had one in a VG Valiant sedan, his biggest issue was finding a stopping solution which he finally did after sourcing a Baer system from the US at my urging.

The thing was a missile and ran an aftermarket Engine management system and dedicated LPG to get around the plumbing for injection issue.

It replaced (the lexus donk) a fairly HiPo Mopar big block and he was more than happy with the result.

They are a great transplant and will outshine the perennial favourite the SB chev.

Engine notwithstanding, and assuming that photos can be misleading, this is quite a nice looking car with nice paintwork and upholstery. Perhaps one factor against the car is the lack of an engineer's certificate - naturally getting hold of one of those can be a frustrating and time consuming exercise - and costly. Regards Styria

A bugbear certainly but once you've done one or two its not as daunting.

$600 in Vic got me an inspection and what the guy told me when I booked it was that he will check for welds and structural engineering no no's.

He picked on one weld and factory spot welds, I paid him to fix the welds and seam weld the spot welded area and he passed the car after which I went to Vic roads and presented the engineers ticket, the roadworthy and has the numbers checked by staff.

all up under $1000, just.

Always better to consult an engineer BEFORE you start work & especially before spending any money. Otherwise it's likely you'll have to do everything twice... unless you're a perfectionist like me!!!
