So my questions are; was it a 6.3, or 6.9? Does it exist today, or were they all re-powered? What did the intake manifold look like?

Ron on the M100 site just found the Holy Grail! WOW check out the manifold and throttle... 275kW and 565Nm is pretty amazing from a 2V 6.3 aspirated engine way back then.

It also gives a wonderful insight into AMG when it first started...

It has the same intake as in the 7.2 litre AMG W 107 SLC .

Nah I reckon it's different. The 7.2 was flatter for hood clearance. Probably one-of-a-kind

Oh yes and that’s mechanical FI, RWD (not AWD), 6.3 (not 6.9)! No composite materials either. Faster than a Countach...

So in more than 40 years (the CW111 was prob developed a few years before 1979) & all the advances in tech & electronic gizmos, they’ve only gained, like 3sec 0-100kmh????

MB needs to abandon the ONE immediately & develop the CW311!!!

If you look closely there are hints to the intake design (even though it’s covered)... It appears to be a reversed 6.3 intake and not the twin TB of the Red Pig.

I just watched the whole video again, which strangely I forgot about! The intake isn't a regular 6.3 one (nor is it the one from the SLC), but similar to the Red Pig and definitely only one TB mounted centrally between the two plenums.

And this is how they finished M100 6.3 development when the Red Pig was killed off due to capacity limits. Rather disappointing really. They didn’t bother with the 6.9 since the CIS would’ve been a roadblock to manifold modification. And there was very few categories where such a car could be used...
