Spare tyre for sale

Toyo Proxes H4 205/65/15 spare tyre that has only ever been on the car once in the last 12 months.

Tyre selling for $100 and in good condition.

Would like to sell the spare tyre before Thursday this week.

Replace the Toyo to match with the rest of the tyres fitted to the car.

Apparently Concours Judges take off points if the spare tyre is different to the rest of the tyres fitted to the car is that right?

Selling a second hand tyre is not an easy task.
Yes, judges will probably deduct points for an odd tyre.

Yes Brian,
selling anything Second Hand is an exercise in wasted time and frustration. I still have all my near new Motor Cycle Protective Clothing etc., etc.
I'll probably end up just dumping the lot. Even some new parts. What a waste.

Obviously no buyers for the spare tyre we could negotiate on the price a little.

Just keep the Toyo as a spare in the garage pumped up of course and out of the weather.

Unfortunately as Brian said Tim. Most people will not buy second hand even almost new. Wrecking yards cant even sell them even at $30 .

I have seen second hand tyres at the wreckers for $30 I would not fit the tyre onto my trailer they look bald and dangerous!


Toyo to good to throw out hang onto it too easy.

Fitting the new spare tomorrow morning at JAX's.

Sometimes dealer will trade in old tyres in good condition. Maybe $10 trade in? At least ask...

Thanks for the advice Brian I will speak to JAX's about that tomorrow.

I know the Manager at JAX's quite well, he might be able to negotiate a trade-in price for the tyre.

Can't see JAX's offering a trade-in for the tyre but I will ask when I see the Manager today.

Does not worry me if JAX does not offer a trade-in that's cool.

As Brian said use it as spare. Or get another set of wheels to use for driving and keep good set for Concourse.

Toyo in the garage.

300SE now has 5 tyres all the same make and model.

$600 in total for 5 new tyres now.

Can't see my losing Concours points for the tyres now surely?!

No trade-in for the Toyo offered from JAX's.

JAX's did not charge me there disposal fee well of course they did not dispose of the tyre.

Guy fitting the new spare was most impressed with the 300SE what a nice compliment!

Get another set of rims Tim and use them with Toyo to save good ones for concourse.
