......or, another choice. I must admit that is just an absolutely beautiful car. The picture appears to be Russian sourced, and we do know just what enormous amounts of money some can play with. I suspect this is just one example. Regards Styria

......another picture of the same car - simply magnificent.

I’m with you regarding shoes Styria.

You may remember last week when I said I don’t wear anything without laces?

I love a good shoe :D

Hi Patrick....and I am with you. For me it is, well it was, Karandonis. Another that comes to mind is Swiss made Aquila. Don't worry about Windsor Smith, Florsheim and (Clarks) - thems for the kids.:D Regards Styria

...........BTW, have a look at the second picture of this blue car. I said Russian, what are all the Asians doing hanging around?

Fully agree, but you need to have a look at the new range of oxford type (as you probably know there are 4 types of men’s shoe, Oxford, Derby, Brogue & Monk) by Florsheim made in Portugal. Very nice, with waxed cotton laces to boot (no pun intended)

That sounds interesting - not that I need to buy any shoes. What sort of price range are they ? I am surprised to see Florsheim producing their shoes in Portugal. Unfortunately, Australia is just so overpriced with many, many consumables. Regards Styria

You are absolutely right Styria.

Not to mention our consumables are also sourced mainly from cheap labour Asian countries of questionable quality.

The best place I have ever bought shoes was Macedonia, where all shoes were priced like Chinese or Indian shoes, but in 90% of cases were from Italy.

Gotta love, Italian shoes priced at $50-$100 AUD.

My shoe of choice are Brouge wing tips,

Styria,
As we were discussing shoes, Santa delivered my first pair of “Comfortech” Florsheim’s.
I have always had leather soles on my Florsheims, but as my feet age, so have my comfort needs.
I do a hell of a lot of walking at work, so thought I’d give these a go.

First day back at work, and boy o boy! Feels like I’m wearing comfy joggers with great arch support, and terrific heel comfort.

They are that good, I’ve even ordered another pair in black

Please check these out.

In terms of appearance, my preference for W116's has always been colour coded steel hub caps, with the Mercedes star in the centre.

In terms of shoes, Imelda Marcos always led the way. :)

Reviving an old thread. I think they look very good. Hopefully the back ones fit... 18” for Moby Dick eventually after refinishing. I’m toying with some 18” w129 AMG wheels too, but I think they’re cast since they’re very heavy.

9.5x18” et33 & they were never gunna clear on the rear. 275mm wide tires. Yes they fit, but zero clearance & I will not use spacers. Waaaahhh I sold them to my old man for his E500....
