They are one of my favourite cars - Rovers. In fact, I still own several of them,including a 3 litre 4 speed manual with overdrive, celebrating its 50th birthday. I also have a 1966 Mark III, and I am restoring a 1965 Mark IIC for a friend of mine. Magnificent cars, not a Rolls Royce, but not all that far removed in quality and furnishings.

I had the opportunity for an extended drive of a Rover P5 3500 at the RROCA Drive and Be Driven Day and it was a nice vehicle to drive. Reasonably powerful, smooth, comfortable and handled well. In short, a most attractive vehicle and perhaps a little more refined than the Benz products of the same era.
