Rocker cover to be sanded and repainted this week.

Remove the rocker cover you have to replace the rocker cover gasket.

New genuine gasket on order.

Ordering the sunroof guide angle rails as well get the s/roof repaired before Christmas.

Rocker cover removed and it is now at the spray painters.

Pick up rocker cover early next week once it has been sanded, primed and repainted.

300SE will be off the road for a few days.

I will have to make do driving the Yaris the sacrifice's one has to make!


Or I can ride my bike or just simply walk to easy!

Picture of Timmy on pedal power ? It would be awesome. You know, flying downhill, hair blowing in the wind, nose over the front wheel, bum up in the air - it'd be a classic. Good to know you're getting onto rocker cover - will you have it powder coated ? I think that process would be preferable to paint, even if it is heat resistant Regards Styria

Pick up the rocker cover tomorrow then drop off the cover to my Mechanic.

Mechanic will be fitting the new rocker cover gasket.

S/roof guide angle rails have been ordered that job will be done before Christmas.

300SE is home rocker cover and new cover gasket fitted as well.

Very good Tim next is to ceramic coat exhaust manifolds. You can get cast metal colour.

What sort of cost involved to have the exhaust manifolds ceramic coated?

Might be best to leave the exhaust manifolds the way they are in original condition.

About $300 over here but speak to Craig S he just had his 6.9 ones done. best thing is under bonnet heat reduction meaning rubber parts last longer.

My Mechanic will be off work he is off to Hospital for an operation on his leg.

So now the s/roof guide angle rails will be done early in 2015.

Was ready to go to have the guide rails done as the parts are going to arrive next week.

Just put that job on the back burner for a while.
