Opinions on this 1989 300SE for sale?

Sorry for the late reply.

Just bought a new bike travelled up to the Bay to pick up the new wheels.

Now back the vehicle in question and from viewing the video a few observations about the car:

1. Centre console is faded.

2. LH & RH seat belt holders are ripped and torn.

3. LH alloy wheel paint looks to be detoriated.

4. Front bumper scratched in the video the bumper will be touched up.

5. Back RH side of the bumper is scratched.

6. Back RH tail light is faded.

Without seeing the car in person and driving the car do not think it is worth the advertised price.

Anyone else have an opinion of the vehicle?

I did note that the clear reversing lamp lenses were cloudy with age - I take this as a good sign that they have not been replaced due to a rear end crash. Overall, it looks to be in good condition and as Mr Tim so wisely points out, you really don't know without a test drive.

Thanks Timmy, that's much better. I have not looked properly at this stage, but there appear to be any number of excellent photographs as part of the advertisement. BTW, don't know how true, but I have reason to believe that the car was traded for $1700.00 ! If true, it is a damning indictment on the used car values of some Mercedes Benz models. I would have thought that the W126 300SE was one of the more desirable varieties. Regards Styria
