Correct battery size for a w111

Does anyone know what the correct battery size is for a w111? Mine recently went kaput and i needed to try a few from battery world to get one that fits. In the end the one I got is a bit too small and i had to pack the hold down with washers. Previously there was an older battery with...

    The Red Convertible 250CE

This red 250CE seems to come up for sale every 2 years or so for at least the last 10 years. Its the bright red one with the red striped seats so its the same car. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201858396853?ul_noapp=true Looks like a real hack job, so I can only guess people buy it and then...

    Fuel Starvation and poor running

at least on the Mercedes you need to be careful you don't seal the little openings in the swirl bowl with POR-15. A few people have found this out the hard way. O ther cars have a simpler system and the POR-15 works well on those tanks. For example, by Jag has a 'sump' that screws into...

    Fuel Starvation and poor running

Was talking to Syria today and he has been trying to get his gold 450SE driving again and was having a problem where it would start and run very poorly. Thinking about this I was wondering if it might be a similar problem as one I had on my old 250SE Coupe. When I bought the car, it would...

Tatra considering starting production of a modernized Tatraplan

https://ranwhenparked.net/2016/12/21/news-tatra-could-return-to-building-passenger-cars/ Interesting article. Tatra are apparently considering bringing back original cars with modern running gear. Not sure how they fit with all the intrusive standards that modern cars must comply with, but...

    1950's american sports coupes

    Shannons Melb

    Styria's 6.9

I was able to take Styria's 6.9 for a drive today. I have driven plenty of M117 engined cars before (450s, 560s etc) but the M100 is in a league of its own when it comes to torque. Regardless of speed or gear you have instant accelleration on tap and instant throttle response. I suspect...

    Alarm

Perhaps Tim's 300SE could be fitted with a twin key setup like a ballistic missile. This could prevent premature launch of the W126

    Aldi battery chargers

Aldi car battery chargers are back. They are $30 from memory and I've had mine for a year and found it very good. The only thing my expensive ctek charger has that the aldi doesn't is the auto sense function. Just saw them again today in my local Aldi.
