Well in 1950 I was an apprentice on Morris Wolseley and MG Cars. By the late 50's I was "down under" working on the Yank Tanks with Ford. Interesting Ford also imported Prefects 100 Es and Mk 2 Zephyrs. The Side valve Prefects were the least troublesome. But the best of the Yank Tanks were the early 60's Lincolns. Three years with them in New York ,trouble free and a joy to drive on Americas wide roads ( and parking spots ) Buick's were also up there with the best,. One year on them too, out on Long Island.

And today ? Americans have built roads to suit their Cars.......no corners !

In my humble opinion, the earlier models, without those outrageous fins, were much better looking. Really, American styling at its best and most beautiful. Regards. Styria

N.B. Chrysler was another manufacturer of beautifully styled cars, and how about the straight 8 Buick of the late '40s and early '50s ? Some magnificent cars !
