Hi Tim very nice but being the 6.9 kind of guy that i am i dont think i could own a povo pack S500 .I would have to buy the S65 for 199000 on car sales or i could slum it in a S63 hypathetically of course if i won lotto .

There was a black S65 AMG when I was at Hunter Star 6 months ago test driving the E250 CDI not sure if the black S65 may have belonged to Nathan Tinkler very nice looking S65!

If my E500 is anything to go by an S500 povopack has quite suprising performance without the much higher maintence cost with brakes and tyres etc of an AMG spec.

An S500 new is $86,000 more expensive than an E500 with the same equipment levels and due to it's greater weight and size is a little slower and harder to park.

There is a new S class out soon so prices will start to tumble for this model.

This discussion reminds me a bit of the details I posted on a beautiful S500 (?) Coupe that won its class at last year's concours. The amount of money he had spent...six grand on an auto box, I think it was four grand on a condenser, and that was a very low mileage car. I'd be worried about that. Regards Styria
