Last one, I promise:eek:

One of the oil leaks came from the area circled in red here:

There's a ~1 inch black soft rubber hose that runs from the RHS rocker cover to somewhere. Attached (previously unattached) is a tiny (4mm o.d.), probably vacuum line. Oil was leaking through the hole where the line was supposed to be.

What's the big hose for, and is the small hose indeed a vacuum line that draws oil through it, and if so to where?

Theory was that in the absence of the vacuum line, oil under slight pressure was coming out there and leaking down the back of the block and towards the inspection lamp of the RWC people.

I think it is just the atmospheric end of the ?Warmup regulator tucked away so that it doesn't suck any dirt into the system.

It may have fallen out with an aircleaner on/off or started leaking due to poor sealing.

A perfectionist would buy a new rubber hose but I'm sure a clean and a smear of silicon would seal it.

I assume your blowby isn't too extreme and the air filter isn't getting wet with oil as well.
