Finally my large package has arrived from the other side of the globe!! Lots of very hard to find parts to be distributed to the needy herd. Pix to follow with an explanation of each purchase when I’m able to unwrap my self-gifts!

Just don’t ask how much it all cost....:eek:

Sounds intriguing! These are hydro suspension parts?

Are those W126 struts for Dora 2 as spares or to recomission another car?
Also, what are those things that are silver in the middle and have electrical connections on each end?

Hi Oversize,

just saw your picture of the high pressure hoses for the struts (126 997 4082).
Were they delivered directly from mercedes, or are they reproduced by a third party that has chosen to put a MB-Star on it?
I ask because they look much different now. And at least here in germany Mercedes still says they cannot deliver and the
classic center will not reproduce them in the future.
What have you paid?

If you are interested in original hoses just send me a PM. I have some sets to sell.

I have another HPFE car that is beyond repair. The car and additional parts I bought will be used as a donor for something different... 1957 Buick powered by a forced induction 6.9 and HPFE; at least that’s the plan I’ve been working towards for years!

Hi the hoses I just bought are NOS (I’m told) so I’m hoping they don’t burst when put to use!!!

The silver thing is the hydro electric control valve for the HPFE. It controls the speed dependant lowering and active auto stiffening.

The 6.9 and 126 S1 HPF had ‘sports’ struts available at one point but you couldn’t have both at the same time. They obviously decided there was a better way and created the HPFE.

wow quite a project. and here I was thinking something less ambitious like recommissioning a car that had been converted to springs, or perhaps fitting S2 HPFE to a 6.9!

I’m happy to report that all number plates I thought stolen during the burglary 18months ago were located yesterday. While searching for something else in the back of a shipping container I found a sealed box behind furniture. To my joy I discovered the plates & realised I must’ve relocated them with concerns of theft in my mind. And by doing so I promptly forgot I’d moved them and basically hid them from myself!!!

Not helped by the fact the original box labeled plates was emptied by the crooks so it had me convinced they’d been taken. Pity I still can’t remember what was actually in that box! Ah the joys of getting old with an obviously fading memory! Or just thinking about too much stuff... I should probably have a good clean up & reorganise soon!!!:rolleyes:
