If I lived in and worked in the inner city a Tesla would be perfect. But seeing as they are limited to about 100Km between charges anything outside that they are very limited . All electric cars I understand have about the same range at the moment Nissan Leaf, Misubishi iMiEV . As i have read there road test. Only Tesla looks great so all the best for them as a anti establishment company.

I also hope Tesla does well - but I would want a range of at least 500-600 kms before one would become even mildly useful to me.
And no useless run-flat tyres either please.

There will need to be a big increase in battery tech before than can happen but I hope it does.
