Hi Ant yes everything I have found suggest 200k is it for W140 suspension and less if big wheels and tires fitted. But as I said going in with eyes open after searching for what I need to know.

Very successful drive to the Bay to see my GP.

Last drain and bandage was removed.

GP shook my hand and said Tim you are looking terrific and all the best with the recovery.

Went for a long perhaps way to long walk this afternoon.

My legs were like lead after the walk two steep hills it has been almost four weeks since I last walked to the top of the steep hills!

Feeling a little sore tonight Doctors orders to take it easy so that is exactly what I will be doing.

Motec the front shock absorbers were replaced with Bilstein shocks last year.

Just over 20,000kms travelled in two years not bad at all.

So only just below normal use then Tim. 15 to 20k a year is normal. It means you must be enjoying the car.

200000km is stuff all mileage on a late 80s MB.... It should definitely outlast you Tim if you treat her right!

Exactly Mark 200kms is nothing for a late 80's MB.

Rest assured I will take care of the 300SE now and in the future the car is in good hands!

I am certainly not planning on going anywhere my health is terrific!

Very lucky to have such good health and to receive the surgery 6 weeks ago I am more than grateful.
