Ever wondered what's going on underneath that driver's seat? Why does it sag so much? These were spares that I disassembled for (some) parts. Broken springs where someone's attempted a repair: Note the difference in the height between left and right sides (around 70mm)! I know MB...

Slightly improved, with some rust repairs. I recognised the car by the unique aircleaner (the snorkle has been shortened)! I missed out on buying the car when it was last for sale in Lilydale... Hopefully someone else can rescue the old girl 'cause my garage is full! :p...

Well I priced some filters yesterday and boy what a difference between the cheapest and the dearest: MB: $100, Imparts: $75+tax, Hanvic: $35+tax. Yes the Hanvic ones don't come with O-rings (or washers), but there's no way MB can justify $65 for them! Apparently Hanvic haven't carried the...

Yes I gave them new names! I dragged Blue Flame from the garage and gave her a wash. Preliminary list of repairs has been undertaken. The workshop shall be ready soon, so I can have a look at the can of worms (hopefully not tin worm) underneath. And yes I'll check the offset of the wheels...

Well I dragged her out of the barn the day before last and treated her to a wash. While doing so, I checked her over and started a list of repairs. When the workshop's set up in the next week or so I'll put her on stands and do a closer inspection. I think the wheels are genuine AMG 16 x...

Ladies & Gents let me introduce you to my gold 450SEL (28414). I bought her with my last 6.9 as a parts car. Although she looks nice, she's an old one (still not sure of the build date) with an average interior, D-Jet injection and rust in at least 3 doors, the boot seal channel, boot lid...

If you had the choice of any transmission to sit behind an M100, what would it be and why? How many gears would be ideal? Top Gear mentioned that some of the 8 speeders were no good, as the transmissions couldn't decide on a gear! I know this has been mentioned in other threads, but I thought...
