Before I purchased my 450 I bought a couple of the Brooklands books on the 116 road tests, and ALL listed the diff ratio as 3.07 in their technical specs. However my diff was stamped 3.06! I checked a few diffs at Pick & Pay Less, one was stamped 3.07 but the other 3.06! Does anyone know why...

This new type of wheel balancer is arousing a number of discussions in the USA - www.gsp9700.com It's a Hunter Road Force balancer that is supposed to find any tire or balance problem.

This was on the USA forum "mercedes-bounces@mercedeslist.com", and it seems worth passing on to 116 & 107 enthusiasts as a last resort for reviving a fuel pump. You might try a trick that George Murphy once offered. Remove the pump from the car and attach a piece of hose to the pump outlet...

If the colour is right this looks to be a possibility for someone with a 107 needing the correct mats. The seller claims these to be original equipment, but I have no idea if it is correct or how his price compares to other suppliers /sources...
