I thought TopKlasse is a Bentley/Rolls Royce Enthusiast's forum?
With a little bit of Mercedes 170 and pre war cars in general thrown in for good measure.
Hi abl567, seeing that you must mention 6.3s, you're almost duty bound to give us a complete run down of your every day driving experiences, the pleasures you attain from ownership and, dare I say it, the frustrations, if any, that may make your life somewhat trying - need I say more ?
Forget the chickens knocking on the doors, the screaming kids bashing each other, the wife running around pulling out her hair...I think I need to stop. Regards Styria
You know, I rather like SOME of Clarkson's opinions.
He has expressed the view: Hates riding in silver tubes in the sky (flying), just wasting your most precious asset: your time, hence the fun that can be derived from driving.
Under such circumstances, I like driving, too. It gives you something to do while you have to wait while getting there......
Styria,
Ah yes the frustrations.
A fluid coupling and auto trans that pumps not leaks out its fluid, 2.5 litres in 10km
Having said that I have done over 20K MILES in #2723 and only had 1 tow when the light switch failed and took out the ignition with it.
So, tow number 2 to the factory and time to fix it once and for all. I will post pics of the work and bless my hoist over and over again.
And I will take up your offer to help
Michel,
I have twice offered BenzBoy the keys to Six 3 but the time was not right, I should have done same at the BBQ at my place but was busy cooking/drinking
If the stars align I will have her at yours on the 3rd for all to enjoy

Talking of Phantoms - 104PY PII Continental (1924), which is a half sister to my 118PY, and another Gurney Nutting just sold for a whisker under $US500,000. Recently restored it was rated 10 for condition. Must get the Swissvax onto mine.....

Hi abl567, getting the job completed by the 3rd, our BBQ, may just not be possible. The fluid coupling, which ought to be resealed and tested by a specialist firm. could be the culprit. It all depends on their holiday period (if any) and their re-opening time. So keep that in mind. Regards Styria
N.B. Loosing that amount of ATF in such a shrt drive could mean that the front seal may be completely shot but, in addition, the brass bushes in the front pump could be in need of replacement as well. Regards Styria
Let us know when it is finished - between Christmas and New Year I have to stay close to Miss Olga and after the big event I will be able to leave her for a while.
