Hey there all,

Im new to the forum, I’ve made an introduction post in the relevant section introducing myself and my vehicles.

I did however, want to also share with you all some quite good options for rare spares that I have come across in my hunt to gather supplies for my own 6.9 refurbishment.
Please see attached photos and screenshots of the spares that I have managed to track down.

Most of these rarer spares I have managed to find on the 600 suspension shop (type that into google to find Martin’s website (business owner). This business operates out of the USA and for myself, joining the 6.9 game at such a late stage as now, found it refreshing to see that someone was reverse engineering the rubber valve block boots/insulators and also the ball joints for the bottom of the struts.

The next supplier that I have had a great experience with so far (for HPF spheres) is spareto (www.spareto.com). I believe they may be headquartered in both Italy and distributing out of Estonia.

I managed to get 5x spheres for my 6.9 (3x front and 2x rear (75bar front and 57bar rear). FEBI branded and air freighted from Estonia to Australia no dramas at all (re: dangerous goods). No issues encountered with DHL as the carrier.

Hoping this helps the community along in their continual efforts to keep their machines in great order.
Spareto also seems to stock smaller items (gaskets and pump reseal kits and alike) at much cheaper prices than other competition. Very much so worthy of adding these items into larger orders to save on overall postage.

Yeah and the price for the spheres to Australia including freight all up (5x spheres and freight which only took 5 business days from the top of the world) $1160 AUD approx from memory. Not bad considering there’s a guy on eBay trying to sell one sphere for $580 AUD

Who did they use for the freight? They’re hard to get here cause many regard them as dangerous goods! There used to be an exemption for accumulators but I’m not sure on the current regs. How does heavy industry cope with these limitations?

Hey there oversize,

The company “spareto” who sold the spheres uses DHL for transport. I found also about 4 years back when I had a e38 bmw with the same style of accumulators for its rear self leveling, DHL was used in that scenario then also and had no issues either with any regulations prohibiting me. I may have just got lucky but I would say if a few of you guys were keen to start doing business with this “spareto” crowd, I really have had a good experience so far. I’ve got a random shipment of various parts coming now (ordered 2 days ago), things like suspension rubbers/bushings and brake hoses and the like. Will report back on the experience and if expectations are met with this delivery also.
I get parcels from Estonia quicker than stuff from Sydney which perplexes me ha ha
