I am just not so sure about this car. There would be a number of questions that would need an answer. The hard work has been done, say perhaps 80%, but it would be the other 20% that would cause probably never ending headaches unless, of course, you have deep pockets.
It is of some concern when you witness an engine swap without any detailing to have taken place. Those exhaust manifolds with rusty retaining nuts - the assemblies on both sides, plus the alternator should be removed, for refurbishing purposes. Then, what about the rocker covers - why would you not want those removed and powder coated ? So much easier to do with engine removed. Self levelling - there is a hydraulic reservoir in place - why not at least retain the self levelling at the rear ? It is a nice feature. Also, what has he done with the dry sump arrangement ? How has he solved the installation of the reservoir ? Also, the front is down due to the heavier engine - I am afraid that a future purchaser would have some serious development work on his hands to finish the project properly. At the moment, it looks half baked - but, what a machine it would be once finished and done properly ! Regards Styria
N.B. BTW Mark, what's your assessment ?
