One has some nasty rust under the parcel shelf & a little in the corner of each front guard. It’ll be for sale soon. I have an idea on price but wondering what others think I could sell it for (std wheels not the AMGs)?

Nice pair. Funny that an old guy had two RUF SEC's in the same colour.
Any history on the pair? Is the second one also rusty?

If they have been driven in European winter , chances are they will be rusty

Car is originally a hong kong import? I am not an expert but that looks like the traditional characters as used in Hong Kong and Taiwan. be interesting to post the VIN and see the order and delivery location.

Also, it looks like the cam cover has been damaged, perhaps from a loose chain below. I would wan't to remove the cover and have a look underneath to see what's what.

It’ll be interesting to see how many parts aren’t interchangeable from the sedans. Anyone know if fuel tanks & rear subframes are the same for coupe/sedans?

One will be sold. The other with the low comp replacement engine (which was originally an ECE) will the final resting place for my 5.0L M119 & trans. I just couldn’t find a decent 450SE anywhere after a lengthy search.

Here’s the one I’m selling before & after a thorough clean. Scrubbed up pretty well considering! All wheel arches were pressure washed with the wheels off. Unfortunately I forgot to take after pix of them after, but it was getting dark after spending most of the day on it. Afterwards I struggled to push it back inside, before resorting to calling a neighbour to help! I really could do with a hand winch to move cars sometimes.... It’s easy to pull them with my daily car & a tow rope. Far harder to push them back to where they were, on a slight incline with wet, slippery concrete.

Oil & filter changed & she does fire & run for a brief period. So I’ve now proved it’s not seized & the ignition works. So now it’s onto the fuel system....

With what looks like they original CAT & mufflers, I’ll be surprised if the whole exhaust isn’t blocked!

I’ll get some better after shots when I’m able!

BTW I’ve been told by a very reliable source that SEC & SEL fuel tanks are the same. Might come in handy if this ones horribly rusted on the inside. Lucky I have a few spares!

Thanks!! Actually the before condition was worse than I indicated... I had to attack it with flyspray (re spiders) & the vacuum cleaner first!
