2015 Model

Picked up my Replacement Golf Saturday curtsey of Allianz.
Looks exactly the same as my original 2013 Model and drives the same.
But it is even quieter, cannot tell if the engine is running at idle.
The slight miss match of the Electric Auto Park Brake releasing on take off has been cured.
Comes on automatically at every stop, no need to hold the brake on. Releases as the clutch is fed in. Nothing new in that , called a Hill Holder in yester year.

Interestingly the 1.4 Turbo Engine, which has Turbo Torque from 1600 RPM,
has two distinct surges after that, one at 2500RPM and then again at 3500RPM. The later feels like the six cyl. Subaru I had, which had variable Cams and also Higher lift which kicked in at 3500RPM. This later modification was sub contracted to Porsche.

P.S. I now pay much better attention to the Traffic !

Thanks Michel, as the Model is due for a minor up grade next month the only Metallic Colour was a Grey. Looks fine and as the "Boss Lady" says it is a more Masculine Colour.

Had a curtsey call from VW on Sunday afternoon from a person who knew their job. Taking care of customers to ensure repeat Business.
He advised that the added quietness from my late 2013 Car is down to an upgrade to the insulation and not the Engine.
And it works ! Feels and Drives like a little Limo. Plus sparkling performance.

Yes I agree Michael , our reaction time doesn't diminish with Age. But our attention tends to drift more, maybe because our Brains are getting full due to too many Birthdays ?
I now find that I have to force myself to avoid distractions and also to walk a little briskly ,rather than doddle along.
Cut your Suit to suit the Cloth , comes to mind.
