If you had the choice of any transmission to sit behind an M100, what would it be and why? How many gears would be ideal? Top Gear mentioned that some of the 8 speeders were no good, as the transmissions couldn't decide on a gear! I know this has been mentioned in other threads, but I thought...

An example of what not to buy. However it looks like the interior is white (although it could be just an overexposed cream) which I'd say would be quite rare. Nice too! And I'll take a stab that the speedo's in mph which could make it a Euro, or converted US model...

Nice wheels & overall condition for the money (it's an SL not SLC too). I have a feeling you'd wanna check the papers & the registry. Not sure about the bonnet...

Testie, check your Owners Manual for the operation of the vents. It should explain the HVAC system and what air you should get from what vents.... I'd certainly try everything else before pulling out the heater; it gives me a headache just thinking about doing it! :eek:

You all knew it was coming!!! I've always been a Ford man, but they get me sooo frustrated!!! Maybe it's the Aussie in me that roots for the underdog?? Here's why they drive me nuts (but I still won't be tempted by the dark side): Ford persisted with the leaf spring on sedans until XE...

I still think it's a vent problem in (or on the outside of) the heater box. That would explain the difference in temperature and when that's corrected (and the temps the same) you may find that it's also cold. If not, then you have another problem (probably a refridgerant leak)...

I'm thinking it's got nothing to do with the sources of hot and cold air, but more to do with the vents. Perhaps one of the flaps has jammed, the lever's broken, the foam seals have perished and dislodged, or a vaccum leak / vac servo failure that's developed? :rolleyes:
