Hello

Is anyone aware of any parts or cars available in Tasmania?

I need the following items for my 1980 450SEL

distribitour cover,
medical kit
warning system triangle
toolks

I know items are heavy so would prefer to buy them local rather than from overseas.

Hi Hans, being a Sydneysider. I am obviously not aware nor familiar with Mercedes Dismantlers in Tassie.

However, the only item I cannot supply you with is the plastic cover for your distributor, although I may actually be able to find for you a complete second hand unit.

The first aid kit I had previously advertised on topklasse at $35.00. With the tools, I should be able to get the appropriate collection together - I may even have an original red canvas satchel.

Postage from the mainland should not be excessive - either by way of Australia Post or a courier. Regards Styria

Regarding the plastic cover for the distributor, is it the one that is attached to the cap, or the one that covers the whole assembly? If the latter, I believe they were only on D-Jet cars and I have one right here that I will never use.

I have been able to locate these parts today through a member on the ozvets website,

the cover in question fits over the cap and the leads, protecting it from moisture and water.

It should be fitted on all cars.
