Just posting the final pictures taken of the Fordedes while it was driven into it's new home...

Pictures were taken after it was detailed by a mobile detailing dude.. he got it shining pretty good. Was a little chalky from the weather previously, but it came up great!

It will see daylight again, I have no doubt.

That's looking pretty good. Whatsmore, I suspect that it would make a very practical every day driver, and probably a fair bit cheaper to run and maintain than a genuine 450. A pity in a way that Mercules onsold it in the first place, but these things happen. Thanks for bringing us up to date. Regards Styria

What was the paint code for that car. I'm painting a W123 for a guy and he wants it that colour.

Found out again this afternoon, that the car has already changed hands again.

Not sure of the colour code, sorry.

The new owner has advised that he'll be finishing the project and putting it on LPG for UBER Fuel Efficiency!! :D

Should still go pretty good...

I just read that whole thread - first time i have looked at the .org since about February last year! Starting to get a bit teary :( brings back some memories though...

Sold again!?! Who has the car now?

A friend of the fella I bought the 6.9 from. He wanted the 6.9 but was out of his price range. So he took the fordedes instead. He said he's going to re-fabricate a new sump and do the other finishing touches.

Hahah... nothing wrong with a datto at all!! Actually miss the ol' girl.

Couldn't pass up the 6.9 though, none of that air suspension rubbish on it, short wheel base, shorter diff... too tempting.

Excellent choice there Cam. You will be able to stiffen the springs and corner like $%*^ sticks to a blanket....
You see, in keeping with my PII obsession I am slippng back in time and forgetting what happened just yesterday...
And you should see and sit on my front seat now that The Famous Parks has re-packed it with modern foam!! The man is worth his weight in PII Tools (more expensive than gold). :D
