The first two are both good value for money and especially number two being an Avant-Garde... except for the dark colour.

I rather like the Metallic Sand coloured example - however, is there an advantage in having the Avantgarde version when compared with the Elegance ? I tend to think that the Elegance is a cleaner car - whatever that may imply. Regards Styria

Hi Styria I must admit I like the one in Victoria even though it is higher priced. Avantgarde is higher spec version .

I believe the Avant-Garde models have a more contemporary interior than the traditional Elegance burl walnut and soft leather.

Like Motec said, the Avant-Garde is a higher spec...

Although I am very fond of the E430, none of these cars described previously have made my heart beat faster!

Still looking...

I might even settle for an ML430... been checking those too.

Or.. a W220 S430... love the shape..(but they are still pricey for what I want)

The most amazing crash result I ever witnessed was in Canberra on the Tuggeranong parkway traffic lights in Kambah. A HQ one toner turned across on coming traffic and was hit by an FSM Nikki . HQ was complete write off needed assistance to get driver out of car. FSM Nikki front dented one broken head light drove home. Must have been made from cold war sub parts.

I looked at this a couple of days ago.
And while it seems cheap, the owners states that it requires a new tranny... (Minimum 2-3K)
Plus, I have decided to go the ML500 way...
I'll get more out of an ML then another sedan to the fleet.
