190E 2.6 for Michel

Seriously looking at a much newer can than a W201

One of the selling points of the 190E 2.6 in the 80's was that it was the fastest accelerating M-B in the fleet around 1985.

There were however no 500's or Cosworth engined 190's for sale in that year officially in Australia and the 560 and 300E were later additions in end of 1986

Having been promised both cars either last week in July or first week in August I was very disappointed to receive a letter stating that the ML350 Bluetech was to be built in August and delivered in October.

The next day I received a phone call "Good news - it will be delivered at the end of September".

My response was - I am not really interested in the ML 350 when am I receiving my CLS 500.

Apparently there is no build date received yet so I am continuing to rely on my BA Falcon and Honda Jazz supplemented by my 6.9 for daily transport.

Not a very happy little vegemite but at least there is a possibility that they will both be 2015 updated models.

Hi Bill replace the BA with and FG11 they are quiet cheap when they are 1 year old and very nice to drive with 6 speed auto. I was driving a XR6 last year back and forth between Perth and Leonora very pleasant car. It was a Hertz rental that work agreed to pay for to keep me up there doing my job.

I actually like my BA - it has less than 80,000 km on it and a BA is quieter than the later models.
