Front LH & RH B-Pillar trim is going to be re-upholested.

Can anyone tell me the trim number for my model 300SE?

Both the LH & RH B-Pillar trim is cracked at the Concours I was told the B-Pillars need to be repaired.

Thank you.

That was quick thank you Motec.

Contact my local Mercedes for a price for the B-Pillar trim code.

Upholester can supply the vinyl trim I saw the trim today it is almost the exactly the same style of vinyl.

Source the original MB vinyl if it is not to expensive.

MB Mechanic told me NOT to source new B-Pillars from Mercedes they will be to expensive have the B-Pillars reupholested.

Exactly right Brian.

Vinyl material from the Upholester felt and looked like good quality.

Upholester does come highly recommend by my Mechanic.

Reply from Mercedes today.

MB in Germany can not supply the vinyl trim material only the B-Pillars as a whole set.

B-Pillars from Germany would cost $475 each two weeks to arrive.

Sorry at that price I won't be ordering the B-Pillars from Germany.

What a shame MB can not supply the material!
:(

Mercedes also tell me the trim code is: 265A Cream

Well here we go pics of the new vinyl trim see what you think?

Pic of the old trim as you can see the trim is ripped.

And the glue on the inside of the B-Pillar was no longer supporting the B-Pillar to hold the seat belts in.

At this years Concours the Judges commented on the ripped B-Pillars and I lost points due to the condition of the B-Pillars.

Thank you Brian and yes it is a very neat job.

I was watching Wayne the Upholster fit the vinyl trim, he had great attention to detail with his workmanship.

Wayne fitted the new trim by hand not by a large computerised machine.

Wayne said he saw the new Ford with a stitched dashboard he was not impressed with the quality and he said the stitching won't last.

If anyone would like Wayne's contact details for any Upholstery repairs let me know?

Or log onto Wayne's website which is: www.imperialautotrimming.com.au

Few more pics of the finished job.

Cheers.

Very impressive Tim,

The pillars do look so much better now.
Did you also fit new seat belts at some stage?
They look like brand new.
