I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but that ghastly green interior is ..... well ghastly...

I like the engine bay....

2) Love the Tacho and the 6,000 rpm redline
3) It seems to have the intake more suited to mechanical injection - is it a 6.3 conversion?

I'd imagine you would have to bore and stroke it to get to that capacity.
If I remember right the 6.3 block does not have a lot of metal around the bores so can only be bored out a little untill the cylinder walls become to thin.

AMG did achive 6.8 with these engines in their early 70's racing cars.

for the 6.9 there is factory MB oversized pistions available up to 7.2 I think

Well I’m not sure if it’s actually a 7.3L… Currently for sale by auction with lots of clear pix added. Unfortunately looks like it’s been laid up & neglected for some time. Analysing the pix it looks like a 6.3 block with injector pump. Likely bored n stroked to 6.8L the same as the Red Pig. A custom dry sump with oil tank in the boot. And of course that custom low profile intake which is really just a modified 6.3 one complete with throttle. No cold air & standard exhaust manifolds. Perhaps fitted with later 6.9 rocker covers. At least now we can add pix to this thread again!

The speedo head indicates it could be the same car. I heard it was originally built by an AMG dealer in the US however I’m not convinced since they wouldn’t create such a hideous speedo facia and one without the AMG logo…

It just clicked what’s going on with the horrible speedo face. I’d suggest they modified the graduations to cater for the steering wheel which might’ve obscured the most used section of the facia… Personally I’d prefer the original steering wheel!
