Professor I have no comment ,but why it didn't sold and produced if was successful ???? The car can't compete with even English cars of the era ,I was in England late 60's I saw the jaguar , Jensen ,Daimler , lotus and sure the boss Rolls Royce ,all with character even I am not a British car fan but all have my respect.

Hi Tarek, the mechanical specs. were probably spot on, and very advanced for its time - remember, this was 1999. As BenzBoy ventures to say, the interior is fine, save for a quite uselessly sized boot (trunk), and the upholstery does indeed look very nice. However, if I compared the dash styling with that of a Holden Statesman we used to own, it is no longer a contest. The packard seems to fall well short of finesse and that professional detail.
However, the stumbling block - I believe they were looking at a retail price of $US.160K. - shut the door, end of story. There was just no way that this car, with its, shall we say, unusual styling, was going to win the hearts of Americans, or any other nation, and get an individual to part with that sort of money.
