Good article on the two cars, asking the question was the Rover worth the extra 500 pounds?
They have a very early MK1 car as their test, complete with manual steering, drum brakes, no overdrive.

The reviewer liked the rover and commented on its quality, although would prefer to own the Wolseley.

And from the same styling house but technically a very superior vehicle; the FIAT 2300. I used one as an everyday vehicle in the late 1908s and it was a superbly comfortable car with excellent road-holding. Sadly, I sold it in 1992 to help fund the purchase of a house.

At the same as having the FIAT 2300 Lusso, I had a several Lancia Beta Coupes - the fastest of which was the 1975 1800 Coupe in Green similar to this one.

And at the same time I had a Flavia Milleotto LX which was a light and delicate car of unbeliveable manouverability. The standard Milleotto had an engine of 1800cc but the LX engine had an extra 16 cc to compenasate for the power steering pump. Talk about over-engineering.
