Yes - 4 such engines were built but thought to be a little over the top given the green lobby and so have been put on hold - just for the moment. Unfortunately, maunufacturers are being targeted by green parties and R-R has no wish to be in the cross-hairs of such a gang of terror. However, I am told it is an engine that is too good to waste...

Rumour has it that the next engine will be 2 PII motors in a Vee configuration with a third in reserve for the B-double tanker to keep up the petrol supply at idle....

It's quite fascinating to watch the power race between these various manufacturers. To me, a V16 engine Rolls Royce holds curiosity value at worst, and admiration for engineering at best. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Didn't tell us that much about cars, but simply illustrated in no uncertain manner the brilliance of Atkinson, the comedian. I saw Johnny English reborn at the Flicks a few weeks ago - it was hilarious, and judging from the unbridled laughter in the theatre, I wasn't the only one that enjoyed it. Great movie. BTW, as an aside and getting back to the video (thank you for that Des), did anyone notice the strikingly good looking dark haired female just behind Atkinson ? Quite something, quite classy looking. Well, just my opinion. Regards Styria
