Ah! And what will you wear whilst driving this period piece?
Perhaps a nice shirt in crushed mulberry velvet and some brown flares?
Regards,
Brian
Ps: Maybe I had better behave....

Ok as promised an update on the Kommando . I have managed to buy a set of HK Monaro rims in 14x6 that are to be sand blasted and I will have painted in the same colour as the car. As I have the original hubcaps for the car.
I then bought a genuine reproduction off the HK Monaro rear muffler and tips from Rare Spares for the wagon. And new handbrake cables and a reproduction of the original handbrake handle made from alloy and powder coated as my car has no handbrake cable and handle is broken.
Now this is where my original plans go a little bit off course. I found the bigger brother to my Chevrolet 250 6 in Canberra on Gumtree for $100. It is the Chevrolet 292 6. It has been dropped of to QIM in Queanbeyan and has been pulled apart for rebuild. With this in mind the original 250 will be sealed as its the chassis matching engine and mileage is correct at 83000km. So I have bought parts from the US for the 292 waiting for them to arrive. They are under cut valves in 1.94 & 1.6 inches with spring kit and parts. I have also bought Comp cams roller rockers in 1.75 ratio. Cylinder head port lumps and rocker studs. Ross forged pistons in 60 oversize with 18cc dish made for a longer rod. Longer Carrillo rods in 7.120 length. And a custom cam with 218 degrees duration @ .050 lift.528 lift at valve 110 lobe separation. This will make the engine just over 301Ci and should make over 350Hp and 400 foot pounds off torque.
On Monday I bought a MSD Atomic 4 barrel EFI Master kit from Rocket Industries. And yesterday a Ausiespeed 4 barrel intake manifold. I will paint it Chevrolet red to make engine appear stock. I have also ordered a set off Clifford performance extractors.
And the ultimate score for the wagon. Michel said it just needs some nice wheels. Well I have acquired a set of genuine NOS Hallibrand Sweet Swirl rims in 14x6 inch with HK bolt pattern and offset . Hallibrand shut up in 98.
