That is the ultimate in fins (in Chevrolet). A 1959 Impala On the other side, the 1961 saw very subdued fins and is one of my favourite Chevs (I have owned many of that model including a couple of convertibles) and these are the two models in the one pic

It's an old post, but I just realised, it's been just over two years since I bought the AMG and tomorrow I will drive it to Eastern Creek for the second year in a row and take it around the track. I've been asked by the President of the MB Club of NSW to display it next to a few chosen vehicles...

Great looking Battleship Tim! However... I would get rid of the yellow number plate, invest in a set of Euro plates that will fill the number plate holder totally and would contrast to the colour of the car better than the yellow. Otherwise, it looks sensational...:D
