I saw that yesterday on eBay and nearly jumped on it, but realised it was also a 6cyl..

Yeah, geez it's been a long long time since we've seen a V8 manual for sale. If it was closer (like down the road) maybe it'd be a worth talking down to buy but purely for parts. FWIW, I know if something really goes pear shaped with povo, my mechanic in Wagga has an even mankier manual 280S I could take off his hands or grab the box from. Don't know if I showed pics before but:

I do think that there have been better buys both on Ebay and around. Okay, so you might pay a bit more but, in the long run, one would be better off by paying a bit extra.
