Two steps forward and one step back... Ie the inlet valves carbon up...
The Subaru inlet manifold Cleaner works well.for me....
I now read that the main culprit is the Crank Case ventilation system producing too much oil vapour.
:) Apparently the thin Oils now used.... 0/20 ..5/20 etc are more volatile. more prone at producing harmful oil vapours....
Better to use a higher grade say 10/20...30 which is less volatile and less prone to producing the harmful vapour. In our temperate Climate the higher viscosity numbers would not make much difference.... just keep clean, quality oil, and Filters ...

P.S. these very low viscosity Oils are for Europe to reduce Fuel consumption and hence emissions. I recall a Ford Factory Training School I attended for the "Tank Model" in 1959 , where the Instructor said, that as far as Ford was concerned .. there was no Winter in Australia... There was Winter in Canada where the Car was sourced ... minus 20 and under. Zero viscosity Oils perhaps :)
