survived from build date November 1980 .. a 1981 year model 107.
A search of the internet and I'm none the wiser on how to read it.

Found the report for the 300SE.

Vin is WDB10704222009946
Built in November 1980 as a Euro Spec Car 186 H. P. 4 Speed Auto.
Has Factory Air and Electric Windows
Leather and Child Seat with Lap and Sash Belts
Inca Red Metalic.
So could be I have all I'm ever going to know...........
As it was a Private Import from Hong Kong to Victoria possible in the Nineties ?

All it does is to confirm the build date, original engine, transmission numbers, paint code, upholstery code, and options that were supplied. Nice to have but not critical. Some cars still have the data card in the owners or maintenance manual. They were all supplied with them, but most have been lost over the years. My SLC and 6.9 have them, and I have copies for all the others.

Thanks Craig, I have contacted the Classic Centre in the USA , but they don't have any further information. it is not a problem , more an academic exercise. I now know the Car well and I'm convinced that what you see is what I've got.
