As I posted in the Projects Thread, I recently purchased a 1981 240D. I wasn't really looking one, but this super original car fell into my lap and I couldn't say no to it. I've been enjoying driving it so far as its a good contrast from my other cars.

I think it depends on how much they are used. If the car is in constant use and getting regular fresh fuel, then I you probably don't need to clean. But once it sits, after a few years the tank probably needs to come out.
