The CX didn't do well through the banger phase and few are left. There are a lot of untrue rumours about these cars like how the C-Matic transmission can't be used anymore due to the original fluid being NLA (there are alternatives) or how parts can't be found. (true for trim parts though, but parts cars are cheap)

It's a shame as while there are hundreds of nice DS still on the road there are probably 1/10 as many CX.

I had a CX2400.
It was simply an amazingly comfortable car to drive, but lacked acceleration for me (remember, I was into big American V8s and that gorgeous golden girl could not compete! :eek:

But I loved the suspension, it’s unique steering wheel and lovely interior.

The french tax system never helped them in export markets as the local markets for bigger engines was non existent.

The later 2.5 Turbo models were better, but the car was always handicapped by the lack of power compared to the Germans.
