Surely they dont have to start it for painting? If the emergency blocks are in position it can be pushed around easily

I have contacted paint shop today after a very long time with this project stalled and yes I have been in contact letting them know of my issues. And that I will be traveling over to discus the way forward in early September . I now wish to have my 6.9 back on the road by years end if possible

Yes I have been on the phone today and will be going over to start project again while I am recovering from my surgery which is finally going ahead in August .

Geoff, you don't think you could get the car back to Canberra or Sydney ? You would have much better control over its desired completion date - now that you are in the trade, you know Michel and even I could advise you in some matters. Regards Styria

I have to agree with Styria.

In the East you can 'see and feel' what's happening.

The intention is to go over and see about that happening. Have shoulder surgery day before my Birthday yay

Agreed trying to undertake this work remotely is a receipe for disaster. Get the car local even if you have to pay extra for the longer term storage. Freighting the car isn’t an issue since you’ll have to move the car anyway. Just make sure it’s on wooden blocks for transport so the suspension (& body) doesn’t get wrecked in transit.
