Is it my imagination again or is a smoothed idle and better Fuel consumption the result after I spray cleaned the inlet and inlet valves on our 50,000ks Turbo C Class 2010 model.
Bought from the local Auto Store and sprayed as per instructions, down the main hose to the Turbo.( I could not sort out a direct line to the manifold)
The engine seemed to run quite ok before, but a year or more ago Helmet had advised that as the inlet does not have a petrol and Air mixture any more to keep it clean ( direction injection is the culprit )
To Katoomba and back Saturday & Sunday. 7 lts/100ks. Traffic was medium/light.

Intake clean has to help, usually take a while to see results though, doing a long run after cleaning is the way to go.

Yes Helmet, we went to Katoomba. 8 lts/100 ks up hill and 6 on the way back.
The Car just feels better. Battery is now lasting 3 weeks before I need to top up the charge..(. usual short runs.) The fancy charger slowly gives it a full charge over night. Fingers crossed !
