If anyone needs a great vehicle, this is it. Styria has rebuilt the gearbox for me less than 10,000 Kms travelled since than, and I have had the heads off and valves done in the last 10,000 Kms.

It has refinished W126 15" wheels (thanks to Styria) and new tyres, plus a full set of 145" Bundts in the boot.

A truly reliable car that I have used regularly for the last 10 years, but needs to sell as I have relocated and don't have enough garage space.

I am on the Central Coast nowadays, but the car is garaged at a friends place in Baulkham Hills (NSW).

Quick review of what's reasonably new in the car.
Transmission rebuilt by Styria and travelled less than 15,000 kms since done
Head Gasgets replaced and valves etc replaced as required less than 9,000 kms since done
Front suspension rubbers replaced less than 7,000 kms since done
Lovely W126 rims (supplied as refinished by Styria and new Falken tyres) less than 300 kms since fitted.

Radio and all new speakers (splits at rear)

Lots more can be said about it, but really a great vehicle, that's never had a major body repair!

Hi BAR, putting up the pics is a bit of a start, but it is only the two that are worthwhile looking at. I tend to think that you'd need to put additional effort into further pictures, but prospective buyers need a price, a phone number, details of rego etc. etc., and it might be an idea to quote some of the costs you have met in relation to some of the repairs etc. etc. again.

You certainly have not shirked spending money on Brunhilde and you are entitled to a reasonable return on those outlays - but you must find a buyer first. Regards Styria

4 X W126 Rims and Tyres $1,500 (Styria can attest)
Head Gasket Replacement and Valve Replacement $3,200
All front end rubbers and shock absorbers $1,800
Gearbox recondition $around $3,200 (Styria can attest)

Asking price $ 4,300

At that price it is a bargain - I am just sorry I don't have the room/the need/the money to spare at the moment.
Maybe it is the sort of car Mr Ant needs to for scooting down to the factory in....

BenzBoy if I wasn't off to New York, Toronto, Boston then Ford City, Pennsylvania in a borrowed 6.3 for this years Lode Fest I would jump at it for the reason you give.
The fuel costs with Six 3 are a bit hard to justify if daily driven, I average 10 mpg and it is 22 miles each way plus running around so 320 miles per week = 32x4.62= 147.84 litres at $1.36 per litre giving $201.06 per week in fuel, the Hilux 4WD costs me average $75 per week in fuel.
Then again, what is the average mpg for a 450??

Problem solved in two easy steps:
1. Give the 6.3 to me. I am used to running a 7.6 and a 6.8 so petrol means NOTHING to me.
2. Then buy Brunhilde and save yourself about $100 a week.
Please bear in mind that life is far too short to spend in a Hi-Lux. Far too short for such masochism, Mr Ant.
