Mine is just a plain old 450SEL 6.9 with a flash paint job and big chrome wheels.
Yours will be something to crow about

My 500SL AMG is too nice to even contemplate restoring anything on it.
It is one of those super rare cars that haven't been molested.. an absolute time warp.

Both the US car and Stefan's car have been around for a number of years. I just wonder about the practicality of those installations - especially Stefan's. It would be interesting to get an update on how these various modified cars are performing on a long term basis.

You only haver to look at the engine bay in standard trim - there is not a lot of room to play with. The 6.9 installation ? It'd have to be a nightmare. BTW Mark, if ever in Sydney, avail yourself of the opportunity to drive Michel's - it's quite something and you'd love it. I did anyway. Regards Styria

Funny I had a dream last night that I met Michel. There was a red W116 outside his work with a weird type of colour coded cover over the turret. And it wasn't 690 because it had narrow Bundts fitted with whitewalls. Weird!

OMG I'm dreaming 116s and Michel! WTF??? I'd actually prefer a dream with Meranda Kerr (sorry Michel)!!!
