At one point you were looking for an SLC no? This one could be a good candidate for Jerry if not rusty underneath.

    1956 Cadillac V Packard

Since we were just discussing it, the bridge over E Grand Blvd in the old Packard plant collapsed yesterday. This has been a source of local concern for years as scrappers have attempted to (illegally) strip the buildings of metal where possible...

    Car of the week

There is a lot to be said for a yellow 123 wagon. Not sure about the price, but it is one of the nicer ones I've seen for a while. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/forster/cars-vans-utes/1980-mercedes-benz-300td-wagon/1204823495

    C107's C107

Cheers! That would be great. It would have been a big step up from a w114 coupe to a brand new SLC.

    Patrick”s 560SEL

I think so. My dad had a few new ones during this period, and they all came with fire extinguishers. This included an 84 230E, 86 230E, 87 230TE. I also had a 85 230E that still had its yellow extinguisher and my 450SLC still has a red one. My 86 300SE doesn't have it, but it was...

    C107's C107

I've never really posted a thread specifically on the car that brought me to this forum, my 450SLC. I purchased the car in 2003. At the time I was weighing up between a 280SE 3.5 and a 450SLC. I figured I would have plenty of time to drive four door cars later in life so went with the SLC...

    Run Flat stupidity

My Brother is moving from Sydney to Perth. Instead of trailering the car, he decided to drive it over. From what I hear its been a good drive. He owns an E63 BMW. Like many BMW's of the era, it came new with runflats, so no spare tyre. The body shell does have a provision for the spare...

Motorsport in NSW, track days, clubs, etc

Good to know there is another one. Was a shame Oran park closed, I saw the thread of the TK track day back some years ago and looked like you all had a good day. http://www.topklasse.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1068

    Car of the week

This dealer is normally quite expensive, but this car is interesting and unique. Where else are you going to find a manual 280E with a full leather interior and other options? Most manual W123 models you see are stripper models like 200's...

    1956 Cadillac V Packard

The Packard plant site is a 40 acre site quite close to the center of Detroit. Its one of those places that people from outside detroit think they can make money due to the proximity of the plant to downtown. only trouble is that this area of town is still pretty rough. A big factor in...

    1956 Cadillac V Packard

As Motec Said, Packard basically stopped in the mid 50s (their name carried on for a bit). what you might not know is the factory is still there in downtown detroit, basically derelict since then. There have been some portions of it used from time to time, but mostly its used to dump...

    semi autonomous driving

It's amazing how far the Camry has come. I remember them in the 90s when they were the most boring unimaginative car you could buy: Now it's a technology powerhouse.

    The Rover P5/P5B

Another nice P5B for sale in Sydney, this time in the most popular colour of Admiralty Blue/Silver Birch https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/sydney-city/cars-vans-utes/1970-rover-3-5-litre-coupe/1203556682 I don't like how they have butchered the door cards for speaker installation.

    560sec ece

Last night I went to move the SEC and noticed a rather large puddle of petrol under the car. It is coming from near the fuel pumps. I had already purchased a new fuel filter so I will replace all the hoses. Will need to look up the part numbers for the W126 fuel hoses.
