    Erebus V8 Supercars

Were we talking about Transporters - mobile creations of muscular art ? It was mind blowing, and to marvel at the sheer size, the impeccable presentation, and the folding stuff (dollars) that's been put into them I won't comment on each unit - I would like the pictures to tell the story. This...

    Erebus V8 Supercars

We decided earlier in the week that the practice day was an event not to be missed - why, the almighty Silver Star machines taking on the might of what Australia could muster and, to be sure, not to forget the Nissan Altima (?) - not to be dismissed as a lightweight in this company. So, what did...

    Erebus V8 Supercars

Not one of the V8 Supercars, but the brand new, yet to be released, new Holden Commodore. Revised rear styling, and apparently much more sophisticated from a technical point of view. Excellent value for money in this present day and age. One can only hope that not only the Commodore, but also...

    Going back in time.

Hi BenzBoy, it may have been "from the Derby era", but it does not say that it was built there. At least, if nothing else, it's making us think - and that's got to be a good thing. :D Regards Styria

    Going back in time.

Whilst you may more than likely still be correct, the text in the article states......."it was not - as you may have realized by now - a W.O. Bentley, but a Rolls Bentley, a Crewe built machine from the late '30s". To me, that seems clear - perhaps we should blame the author ? Regards Styria

    Going back in time.

I am happy to stand corrected at all times - my information is gleaned from the bottom of the second paragraph which states that the Embiricos Bentley (Rolls Bentley) was built at the Crewe factory - prior to WW II. so this must have been an exception. Regards. Styria

    Brochures of '80s cars

I haven't counted them, but I think there must be at least sixty brochures contained within this thread. What I like is the clear layout and descriptions applying to each car featured in the brochures. I need to thank Timmy for unearthing this website - an excellent find. Regards Styria N.B...

    Going back in time.

Regarding the Embiricos Bentley - unfortunately, the PDF document is not able to do justice to the exquisite bodyshape of the car. Thus, I have decided to look further afield about the car(s), and its whereabouts and it certainly has become a much sought after, and probably highly priced...

    450SEL - Starting problems

Very peculiar - it is something that in fifty years of car ownership I have never come across. Picture this scenario - turn on ignition, no petrol gauge reading, crank car with key but will not start, but there is spark from coil to distributor. Fuel pump working, but did not check for flow...

    Panther-Porsche 356 - Bitter - Fiat Coupe

As far as the Fiat is concerned, there are a few aspects that appeal, and others that don't. First of all the engine - five cylinders turbocharged makes for a very willing performer, and this is borne out or corroborated by this engine (I think) also having been fitted to various Volvo models...

    Panther-Porsche 356 - Bitter - Fiat Coupe

What was, or could have been. I will add my thoughts on some of these cars. Needless to say, all intentions are splendid in their evolvement, but the long term statistics are less than brilliant. Regards Styria

    W116 - Quick Drive

Apologies - it is in German, but nevertheless still interesting to look at, especially as it depicts some quaint village scenery and a typical look of parts of Europe. With thanks to the lucky finder of this video - Timmy in Newcastle. Regards Styria http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Weog3e1JGc

    Going back in time.

I'd just like to add a little of my own feelings on the Aston Martin. I have always had a soft spot for them - to the extent that I became a member of the Aston Martin Owners Club in England and to this day I still have the badge. Reading the article - I can't help but be blown away by the...

    Going back in time.

Yes, one can just as easily say "Where are they now" or better still, "Wish I could have bought one or have one today", but also going back through old print, one gets the opportunity to examine yesterday's theories and achievements with today's offerings. All of the PDFs, or the articles used...

It can only happen at Goodwood

You just need to keep an eye on the unbelieveable BMW700 twin cylinder - and never mind the red Austin a40 with 1.3 litre engine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYdmpagM5a0 Regards Styria

    6.9 front suspension not raising

Hi B13, thanks for bringing us up to date. I had wondered how you had fared in the end. Leaks from the suspension system need not always spell the end of a 6.9, but it does depend to some degree on what part is leaking. Poor Chris, whose experience is responsible for this thread, was unfortunate...

    Speyer sinsheim Museum

I really wish that I would have had the time, and the money, to visit this museum located near Mannheim, in the northern part of Germany. I reckon I could have spent at least two to three days looking at the variety of the exhibits. Try and take the time out to look at these videos. Quite...
