Well I have some big news regarding this whole saga!! 🤫😃😎

Of course the 6,8L Red Pig made 420hp, which is 45hp more than the 6,3L CW311. So that’s now roughly 145hp more than a 6.9

Another goal to beat....

Oh and of course the Sbarro eSpace GT1 of 1999!! Still with a modified M100 6.3

What is interesting is the timeline of these vehicles. First the Red Pig, followed by the 1972 Interserie car. Seems AMG then moved on to the 4V M117s while B+B built the 1979 CW311 and Sbarro the 1987 Monster G. Seems to me they were all engines sourced from AMG/MKB.

Note that’s around 100hp more than the later & larger 6.9! You’d assume it used the earlier 6.3 injection, but there’s no mention of those details. Clearly exhaust & intake are the keys to more power...

Powered by a 350hp M100 6.3 too! Sadly no engine pix that I’ve found (yet)!

I’m sure I’ve posted about this amazing car before, but searching revealed nothing! Named after it’s drag coefficient & powered by a M100 6.3 mid Mount with a special intake likely built by AMG/MKB. The engine may even have been sourced from AMGs surplus after the Red Pigs were retired...

Goodbye ol girl!! Hopefully we’ll see her back on the road in the coming years. Engine & trans yet to be picked up. The car will likely be heading to Sydney for body work before re-assembly.

Unfortunately the NOW Gen are far too vocal & while they claim to be thinking of the future, they have no clue about how it can realistically be achieved. They seem to think we can all hold hands around a campfire & somehow things will just work. Meanwhile the rest of us that know better will...

The original twin throttle AMG M100 6.8L followed by a very recent excellent copy....

I’m evaluating all V8 cams but yes it’s interesting that the Euro M117.968 cams are still rather mild
