    Tesla 4680 Battery

Mark, I have a battery powered mower that eclipses the cut and performance of any petrol mower I have ever owned. It is that good, I have sold every piece of petrol driven gardening equipment and have replaced them all with battery skins that take the same batteries as the mower. Considering...

Rover P5 3 litre Mark III

That’s the way Styria, just write about what comes to mind. Talking or sharing about anything is better than doing or saying nothing. There are always ears here that will listen and learn from you, no matter the topic :)

My daughter, who works in the death industry, spotted this today during her work travels. Very unusual. I’ve not seen one like this before.

It’s funny, something that never happened in a local Holden or Ford, plagues this make of vehicle :(

    Swedish Steel

Yes, Volvo is now making carbon neutral, and fossil free steel for use in car and truck production. This is small scale at present, but will ramp up for sure. Volvo really is on this bandwagon big time.

    BM2 Battery Monitor

Agreed. Very handy indeed. Couple this with a solar panel trickle charger, and we may never have a flat battery on a classic car again?

    Tyres

Wow, Very interesting read. Not so long ago, most people here were against run flats, and wouldn’t consider running them. I’m looking forward to this thread progressing to learn more. I feel rather “deflated” that I have yet to experience run flat tyres

    Ceramic paint treatment?

Back to Brian’s original question. Yes, Ceramic coating is proving to be extremely good especially for reasons Brian mentioned. My daughter is looking forward to having her car done this Friday. Brian, my daughter has always used my secret weapon for shine, but she hasn’t on this car Asher...

    Ceramic paint treatment?

Gents, The more heavy duty and harder pads, are like 50-70% effective when cold compared to the softer OEM pads. “Generally speaking” these softer OEM compounds are what we normally need as we don’t drive our cars very far or very fast on a daily basis, so this is why they have more bite, right...

    Ceramic paint treatment?

Yes, You are correct. Soft pads and soft rotors, make for more parts sales. Makes a whole lot of sense that trucks use a magnetic retarder. The trucks I work with can have either up to 4 levels of engine braking, and/or some form of magnetic retarder. I don’t know why we don’t have these in...
