It arrived last night about 8:00pm...

I drove it for about an hour and then decided to put it in the garage.
It was windy and cold and obviously dark.

This morning I started washing it at about 7:30 and dried it then checked it, made sure everything worked and then drove it again... Grin

I am rapt.....

Jerry is polishing it all over.
I think the PO washed it and that's about it...

But it's all there... straight and not missing anything.

Two things that worry me right now:
One is the fact that it came with only 'one' metal key.

and Two is that i am so busy at work.... but I constantly want to go downstairs and look at it...

What strikes me in particular is that it appears to be totally unmolested and after a period of twenty five years (about), that is quite remarkable. Take note of the front number plate that is a typical European feature, as well as the small, yet so delicate headlight wipers - as far as I know, they're an absolute rarity on a 107. I also believe that Japanese 107s had their battery located in the boot and I wonder if that is the case with this splendid car. I am looking forward to seeing it today. Regards Styria

Michel have you thought of a name for the AMG?

I did suggest a few to you via email see what you think of those two names?

Congrats on the purchase and all the best with AMG.

Cheers Tim.

Congrats again - am jealous. Any more on the car's history?

I understand the jealousy part, I would have been too.:)

We're working on the history, I am getting the numbers checked...

But as the Godfather can vouch, it is very unmolested

And it and goes pretty hard..:D

Oh and did I say I love it? :p

It's certainly impossible to fault this car given its condition and price. This is one time when Michel has really struck the jackpot - honest. Regards Styria

Nice wheels. I picked this up last year. It was sitting neglected in a field and a racoon got in through the soft top and tried it burrow it's way out through the floor pan after it trashed the interior.

Getting it running was not too hard but I had to redo the interior, give it a paint job and do a bunch of mechanical work to get it to run right including replacing the camshaft.

It shows 69000 miles on the clock and when I did the timing chain, i could see that it has had head work as there was still pencil writing on the heads.

The AMG wheels were put on recently. My neighbor run across them and made me an offer that I could not refuse. They are 8.5x17 on the front and 10x17 on the back.

Hi Alabbasi, what a splendid looking car - even the red looks great (!) and I know that one of your Topklasse members would approve unreservedly.

On your car those wheels look great, especially in the back with their dished appearance. As a matter of interest, your upholstery - did you purchase it from GAHH - (my favourite upholstery supplier in the States. The area in which the car is photographed - is it in one of the Texan cities ? I believe that's where you reside. Anyway, thanks for your contributions. Regards Styria

N.B. BTW, that rocker panel - is it stainless steel ? It looks just the part.
